Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Inspector (Consultant) to support a building/construction project in Katara on a short-term consultancy basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical systems within building projects and extensive inspection/consultancy experience.
Responsibilities:
Review and inspect mechanical works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, etc.) in building projects.
Identify non-conformities and issue site observations, inspection reports, and recommendations.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Verify materials and equipment used on site against approved submittals.
Ensure adherence to project quality requirements and relevant codes.
Prepare daily/weekly reports related to inspections and mechanical works progress.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Building / construction project experience is mandatory.
Strong background in site inspection and consultancy roles.
Solid understanding of mechanical systems in buildings (HVAC, plumbing, fire, etc.).
Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently in a consultancy environment.
