QC Supervisor

The QC Supervisor is the gatekeeper of product quality. Everything that leaves the factory must meet the standards expected by the customer, and this role ensures that quality never slips, even on busy days.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Acceptance & Quality Monitoring
Track and record all customer QC results daily for each production team (Melons, Pomegranate, Herbs, Salads etc).
Investigate any customer rejections, deductions or complaints immediately and document the root cause.
Work with Production Supervisors to fix recurring issues and prevent repeat failures.
Maintain a monthly acceptance rate report for management review.
2. In-Factory QC Checks
Conduct random batch checks throughout the day for weight accuracy, quality of cuts, freshness, temperature and packaging.
Verify that all finished items meet predefined product specifications.
Check labels, barcodes, sealing and packaging consistency before items move to dispatch.
Ensure FIFO is followed for all raw materials and finished goods.
3. Hygiene, Food Safety & Compliance
Implement and enforce HACCP and ISO 22000 procedures at every stage of production.
Perform daily hygiene inspections on teams, workstations, tools and equipment.
Ensure handwashing, glove changes, hairnets, sanitiser use and workstation cleanliness are followed strictly.
Report hygiene violations immediately and ensure corrective action is taken.
4. Shelf-Life & Storage Control
Monitor storage temperatures for raw materials and finished goods.
Perform shelf-life checks on items in chillers and ensure products close to expiry are flagged.
Ensure no expired or borderline-quality product enters dispatch.
5. Wastage Monitoring
Track, record and analyse wastage levels per item and per team.
Work closely with Production Manager to reduce trimming waste, over-cutting and poor handling.
Flag repeated issues that cause unnecessary loss.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain all QC records, checklists, customer QC data, corrective action reports, and hygiene audit logs.
Prepare weekly QC summary reports for the Head of Operations.
Document deviations and follow up on corrective actions until they are fully resolved.
7. Training & Support
Train staff on proper cutting quality, hygiene, handling and best practices.
Train new workers on QC expectations for each product line.
Give daily feedback to production supervisors on improvements needed.
8. Coordination & Communication
Work closely with:
Production Manager
Team Supervisors (Melons, Pomegranate, Herbs etc)
Dispatch Supervisor
Receiving Section
Ensure all departments are aligned on quality expectations before production, during production and before dispatch.
9. Preventing Mistakes from Reaching the Customer
Stop any batch that does not meet standards.
Ensure reworked product meets requirements before release.
Be proactive in catching small issues before they become customer complaints.
Job Requirements
Experience in QC within a fresh food, fruits, vegetables or RTE environment.
Strong knowledge of HACCP and ISO22000 principles.
Good eye for detail and ability to stay firm under pressure.
Strong communication skills and confidence to enforce standards.
Ability to work in chilled environments and fast-paced conditions.
Compensation:
2,500 SAR Salary
