We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with deep, hands-on experience in Apache NiFi to join an enterprise data engineering team in Dubai (onsite). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, operating and tuning large-scale NiFi data pipelines and integrating NiFi with modern data platforms and security frameworks.
Key responsibilities and required expertise:
• Design, develop and optimize complex NiFi data flows for enterprise workloads.
• Work with Cloudera NiFi / CDP Data Flow and NiFi Registry for versioning and deployment.
• Develop Groovy scripts using ExecuteScript / InvokeScriptedProcessor for custom processors and transformations.
• Implement secure SSH/SFTP automation and robust file-handling processes.
• Integrate NiFi with backend systems such as MongoDB and Kafka for reliable streaming and storage.
• Configure and manage TLS/SSL and authentication mechanisms including LDAP / OIDC.
• Administer RHEL environments, perform system tuning and JVM optimization for NiFi performance.
• Implement record-based processing patterns (Avro, JSON, CSV) and efficient schema handling.
• Build and maintain high-availability NiFi clusters along with monitoring, logging and alerting practices.
• Use parameter contexts, NiFi Registry and best practices for reproducible, versioned flows.
