Job Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Appointed Person (Lifting Engineer) for an Oil & Gas project. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing lifting operations in full compliance with ADNOC standards and HSE requirements, ensuring safe and efficient lifting activities across routine and critical lifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute ADNOC-compliant lifting plans for routine and critical lifts
Select, verify, and ensure suitability of lifting equipment; confirm valid certifications and inspections
Lead lifting operations, conduct pre-lift briefings, and manage lifting teams (including offshore activities where applicable)
Ensure strict compliance with ADNOC PTW system, JSA, and approved lifting procedures
Manage SIMOPS and coordinate lifting activities with construction and safety teams
Monitor lifting execution, ensure safe practices, and report/close any non-conformances
Maintain proper documentation and records related to lifting plans, permits, and inspections
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (3 years)
Minimum 7 years of experience in lifting operations
Appointed Person (4-day course) certified by an ADNOC-approved provider (mandatory)
Strong knowledge of LOLER, API, and ADNOC lifting standards
ADNOC approval as Appointed Person is an added advantage
