Key Responsibilities:
Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to patients.
Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Verify patient identity, surgical procedure, and consent before surgery.
Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations by anticipating needs and providing instruments.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia response, and overall condition intraoperatively.
Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices throughout procedures.
Document nursing interventions, surgical counts, and patient information accurately.
Support post-anesthesia recovery and provide immediate postoperative care.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
Participate in continuous quality improvement and staff training initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable country/state
Minimum of 2 years’ clinical nursing experience, preferably in an operating room or perioperative setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and perioperative standards.
Proficiency in operating room technology, instruments, and patient monitoring systems.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
