Job Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Instrumentation Engineer for a major Oil & Gas project in Qatar, running until 2029. This role will lead and support instrumentation engineering activities across project phases—from site surveys and FEED through detailed design and commissioning—ensuring compliance with engineering standards, HSE requirements, and technical assurance practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical design and engineering services for Instrumentation scope on Oil & Gas projects
Conduct site surveys, support FEED, execute detailed design, and participate in commissioning activities
Ensure full compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and HSE requirements
Perform technical assurance activities and support quality control across deliverables
Review and evaluate method statements, technical deviations, and bid packages
Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to align engineering inputs, schedules, and deliverables
Manage and balance time, cost, and quality across multiple concurrent workstreams/projects
Provide clear communication, reporting, and presentations to stakeholders when required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Electrical, Electrical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Chartered/Professional Engineer status preferred
Strong understanding of engineering standards & codes relevant to instrumentation engineering
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience:
10+ years post-graduate experience
Minimum 6+ years in Oil & Gas
Proven ability to manage engineering priorities across multiple projects while maintaining quality standards
