Major Responsibilities:
Interface with contractors and subcontractors to validate construction timelines, assess progress, and resolve schedule conflicts.
Conduct schedule risk analysis and what-if scenarios to evaluate potential disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
Implement and oversee earned value management (EVM) to monitor project performance and identify variances in cost and schedule.
Analyze change notices and assess their impact on project cost and schedule, ensuring proper documentation and control.
Prepare and present high-level project status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
Support cost and resource planning integration, ensuring consistency between schedule forecasts and budget allocations.
Ensure compliance with Bechtel’s project controls procedures and standards
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or international equivalent in a related technical discipline).
9-12 years of relevant experience in project controls and engineering or a related area.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum 8 to 10+ years of proven experience in project controls, engineering, or a closely related field.
At least 5 years of experience specifically in a Project Controls Engineer role within a large-scale organization.
Competence in change management and impact analysis, including trending and forecasting tools.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex data to leadership and clients.
Expertise in planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6.
Strong understanding of infrastructure project lifecycle and construction methodologies.
Ability to develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
Proficient in preparing schedule reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
Effective communication skills for interfacing with project leadership and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills with ability to analyze large and complex data and worksheets.
Professional certification in project planning or controls such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or equivalent preferred.
