Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all civil construction activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. The candidate will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, inspections, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) system for civil works
Review project drawings, specifications, and method statements
Conduct site inspections for concrete works, earthworks, rebar, formwork, and finishing
Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project and international standards
Prepare and submit Inspection Request (IR) and Material Inspection Request (MIR)
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site engineers on quality issues
Identify non-conformities and issue NCRs, ensuring corrective actions
Maintain QA/QC records, reports, and test results
Monitor testing activities (soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.)
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 3 years experience in QA/QC for civil construction projects
Strong knowledge of construction standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, ISO)
Familiar with quality documentation and inspection procedures
Proficient in MS Office and basic engineering software
Good communication and reporting skills
Preferred Certifications
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
QA/QC Certification (Civil)
CSWIP / ACI (for concrete-related projects – advantage)
