Job Summary
The Civil QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all civil construction activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and applicable codes. The inspector will conduct site inspections, monitor workmanship, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to maintain quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect civil works including earthworks, concrete, rebar, formwork, asphalt, and finishing works
Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and QA/QC plans
Conduct material inspections and verify test results (soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.)
Identify non-conformities and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required
Monitor corrective and preventive actions
Prepare daily inspection reports and documentation
Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors
Witness field and laboratory tests
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum [X] years of experience in civil QA/QC or site inspection
Knowledge of construction standards, codes, and specifications
Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and reporting
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication and reporting skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with infrastructure or large-scale projects
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, reporting tools)
Ability to work under site conditions
