Lead Structural Design Engineer (Offshore Project)

Job Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage all structural engineering activities for the offshore project (Umm Shaif Super Complex - USSC) from FEED through EPC, installation and commissioning.
• Act as Structural Discipline Technical Authority (Owner’s Engineer) ensuring compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards, ISO, API RP2A, AISC, BS and relevant offshore codes.
• Review and approve package equipment integration (compressors, dryers, receivers, skids, platforms, lifting frames) including skid loading, static and dynamic reactions, baseplates and supports.
• Perform brownfield structural assessments: review as-built drawings, laser scans, deck capacity, reinforcement needs, tie-in engineering and SIMOPS considerations.
• Review and verify EPC contractor structural analyses: global/local FEA, deck load and punching shear checks, fatigue, vibration, impact and dynamic load evaluations.
• Lead 3D model review and multidisciplinary integration (clash detection, clearances, access, support routing) in AVEVA E3D/SP3D and related tools.
• Provide oversight for lifting, rigging and installation engineering: lifting plans, padeyes, temporary frames and offshore installation loads.
• Oversee QA/QC and fabrication: review QCP/ITP, welding maps, NDT plans, material traceability and approve structural works for offshore delivery.
• Support construction and commissioning: field installation guidance, field modifications, punch-list closure, as-built validation and final acceptance.
• Maintain structural registers, track TQs/NCRs/deviations, ensure ADNOC document control compliance and deliver required reports and drawings.
