1. PRODUCTION ENGINEER
• Provide overall supervision and leadership for the machine shop (including conventional lathe, CNC lathe, VMC, VTL, HBM, Milling, Slotting, Drilling Machine etc) and fabrication workshop, acting as the primary link between management and production staff.
• Lead, manage, and evaluate a team of machine operators, fabricators, welders, and support staff; identify training needs, provide guidance, and encourage skill development and innovation.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor production activities to meet project deadlines, production targets, and customer requirements.
• Assign tasks, allocate manpower and resources efficiently, and coordinate materials, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth workflow and cost-effective operations.
• Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications through regular inspections, quality checks, and continuous process improvements.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and lead response during emergencies, accidents, or unexpected disruptions to maintain a safe working environment.
• Oversee machine and equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure proper functioning.
• Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, inventory usage, waste reduction, and departmental budgets.
• Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, job progress, and performance data.
• Collaborate with operations managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate closely with Estimation, Quality Control (QC), and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams to achieve company objectives/goals.
• Address and resolve production issues, technical challenges, customer concerns, and conflicts among team members to maintain a harmonious workplace.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks is required to interpret drawings, support activities, and ensure technical accuracy.
2. TURN MILL PROGRAMMER CUM OPERATOR (DOOSAN PUMA GT 2600LM)
• Program, set up, and operate CNC turn-mill machines to manufacture precision components as per drawings and specifications.
• Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software to achieve accuracy, productivity, and tool life optimization.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T symbols to ensure correct machining methodology.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, holders, fixtures, and workholding devices based on material and operation requirements.
• Perform complete machine setup including tooling, offsets, work zero setting, and dry run / prove-out of new programs.
• Operate multi-axis CNC machines including live tooling, Y-axis, C-axis, and sub-spindle operations.
• Monitor machining operations, make necessary offset corrections, and control feeds and speeds to maintain quality and productivity.
• Carry out in-process and final inspection using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc
• Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances, surface finish requirements, and quality standards as per customer and ISO procedures.
• Identify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, program, and machine issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Improve machining processes by reducing cycle time, optimizing tool paths, and recommending process enhancements.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and tooling records for traceability and quality compliance.
• Adhere strictly to HSE guidelines, safe work practices, and proper use of PPE during all machining activities.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, tool management, and ensure proper housekeeping in the work area.
• Coordinate with production planning, quality control, and engineering teams to meet delivery schedules and continuous improvement goals.
