Guildhall is partnering with a leading international contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor – Sub-Infrastructure for a major infrastructure development connected to the multi-phase expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC/AMIA) in Dubai. This long-term project includes significant substructure and underground works and is part of one of the largest aviation expansions globally.
The successful candidate will manage cost control, contract administration, and commercial reporting for sub-infrastructure packages, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage cost control, variations, claims, and subcontractor payments for sub-infrastructure works
• Prepare, review, and maintain commercial reports, forecasts, and budgets
• Review subcontractor contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with project standards
• Collaborate closely with engineers, site teams, and consultants to monitor project progress
• Support procurement and tender evaluation for sub-infrastructure packages
• Maintain comprehensive records of commercial activities and reports for management
• Promote efficient, compliant, and cost-effective practices across all substructure works
Project Background
The position supports the Phase 1 expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport, involving:
• Substructure and underground works for the new 800,000 sqm West Terminal
• Infrastructure works to support a 14-station Automated People Mover (APM) system
Requirements:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in substructure or underground works on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects
• Proven experience with main or international contractors
• Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, claims management, and variation management
• Experience in Middle East projects is highly advantageous
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Based in the UAE or available to join immediately
