Supervision and Management of Patient Care and administrative duties
Oversee daily operations of the physiotherapy department or clinic.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of physiotherapy staff, including therapists, assistants, and aides
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
Participate in medical equipment selection for PT department in accordance to latest technology, evidence based practices and budget allocation.
Maintain a small caseload of patients, providing high-quality physiotherapy services
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Participate actively in the interview and selection of all physiotherapists will be hired for BCC.
Manage schedules, ensuring optimal workflow and patient satisfaction
Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with industry standards
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and department documentation
Progress Monitoring and Adjustment
Regular monitor and evaluate patient progress, with full documentation to the treating physician for optimal outcomes.
Communicate with patients and their families to provide updates on progress and modifications to the treatment plan.
Training and Development
Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff
Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback
Organize and lead in-service training sessions and workshops
Collaboration with Healthcare Team
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Quality Assurance
Evaluate the quality of patient care and implement improvements as needed.
Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained always.
Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for the department
Professional Development
Stay informed about advancements in physiotherapy techniques, research, and technology.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
Skills
Current and active SCFHS licensure as a Physiotherapy Specialist.
Minimum 5 Years experience in physiotherapy of which 2 at least in leadership role.
Proven experience in providing physiotherapy services, preferably in specialized medical center setting
In-depth knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions, and their impact on functional mobility
Proficient in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Excellent documentation and reporting abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
Compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality care
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations, infection control protocols, and ethical guidelines
