Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs from drawings and specifications
Analyze project drawings, scope, and tender documents to submit competitive bids
Manage pre-contract and post-contract QS activities, including measurements and valuations
Review, compare, and negotiate subcontractor quotations and agreements
Monitor project costs and prepare monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts
Prepare and review interim payments, variations, claims, and change orders
Coordinate with project and site teams to validate quantities and track progress
Maintain accurate commercial documentation, contracts, and correspondence
Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contractual matters
Support procurement, pricing, and vendor evaluation activities
Prepare final accounts and project closeout documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience:
3–5 years of QS experience in a contracting company
GCC construction experience preferred
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, tendering, cost control, and contract administration
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, and QS-related software
Professional Skills:
Excellent analytical and numerical accuracy
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
Sound understanding of construction drawings and site execution

Average Market Salary (Estimated – Qatar):
QAR 8,000 – 13,000 per month
(Based on Quantity Surveyor roles in Qatar construction sector with 3–5 years’ experience)
