Major Responsibilities:
The successful candidate can expect to undertake a broad range of construction automation tasks including:
Installing and maintaining software from an approved suite of company standards, while ensuring construction applications are implemented according to Bechtel standards and in line with work processes
In coordination with Project Information Manager, IS&T Lead and other Bechtel SMEs, audit data exchanges to / from construction applications to ensure they are configured correctly to support construction work activities
Ensuring rules of credit are configured to Bechtel standards
Reviewing construction application deviations raised by the project team, evaluates their impact to other applications, data integration and work processes and works with the Bechtel Construction Automation Manager for verification and approval of the deviation
Reviewing and reporting on interfaces between project controls and the construction applications to provide data consistency, completeness and accuracy
Regularly communicating with Project Information Manager, IS&T Lead and other Bechtel SMEs to implement standard support and training
Responding to customer needs, questions and concerns and expedites actions in an accurate, effective and timely manner
Participating in the rollout of new technologies, services and security remediations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Industry experience gained through a recognised degree in a STEM-related field, and/or specialised courses in IT, Engineering or related fields, and/or extensive work experience in a STEM-related field.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
We will be looking for the following behaviours, skills and experience:
Knowledge of construction automation applications and associated work processes, such as installed quantities tracking and reporting, work packaging, cable reel administration, permanent plant equipment maintenance, technical correspondence, etc.
Knowledge of other functional work processes to a level which allows clear articulation of Construction requirements to the other functions
Ability to build productive and collaborative working relationships with local teams and global peers
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
