Wavesapp is a live GCC-based marine & leisure marketplace with 5+ years of operations, real users, and active transactions. As we scale, we’re hiring a high-impact Product Owner – IT to drive product clarity, structure, and delivery excellence.
Your Mission
Bridge business objectives with technical delivery, ensuring predictable, high-quality releases within a disciplined Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
▪️ Prioritize the product backlog strategically
▪️ Write clear, implementation-ready user stories
▪️ Define acceptance criteria and business logic
▪️ Align sprint planning with engineering capacity
▪️ Ensure delivery predictability and release quality
▪️ Improve Agile workflows and documentation standards
Technical Collaboration
Platform Architecture & Scalability
Design scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure
Ensure performance optimization, cybersecurity, and system reliability
Oversee DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, and engineering best practices
Engineering Leadership
Build and manage high-performing engineering teams (remote & regional)
Establish engineering KPIs, quality standards, and delivery timelines
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation
Product & Innovation
Collaborate with Product and Operations to enhance user experience
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of emerging technologies
Lead data architecture and analytics capability development
Qualifications
▪️ 4-7 years as a Product Owner or similar IT role
▪️ Experience with digital platforms, marketplaces, SaaS, or booking systems
▪️ Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum beyond ceremonies
▪️ Comfortable handling ambiguity and structuring business requirements
▪️ Thinks in systems, dependencies, and scalable solutions
