Note: Company operations function from two fixed premises. For this role, the primary deployment will be at Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Job Purpose
To perform high-quality 6G pipe welding using GTAW (TIG) , SMAW (ARC) and FCAW processes in accordance with approved WPS, fabrication drawings, and international standards. The welder will support project execution by delivering defect-free welds, adhering to safety guidelines, and meeting project timelines for oil & gas and industrial construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
1. Core Welding Responsibilities
• Perform 6G welding on pipes, fittings, and flanges for process and utility piping.
• Execute root pass, hot pass, fill, and cap as per approved WPS.
• Work on carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless-steel materials.
• Interpret isometric drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section IX, API 1104, and project specifications.
• Conduct self-inspection and support NDT requirements (RT/UT/PT/MT).
2. Quality & Safety
• Maintain high weld quality to ensure minimal rejection rates.
• Follow all safety rules, hot work permit protocols, and toolbox talk instructions.
• Use PPE appropriately and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report unsafe acts, near misses, or equipment defects immediately.
3. Coordination & Productivity
• Coordinate with fitters, riggers, and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
• Support shutdowns, tie-ins, and critical path welding activities.
• Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, and rotational shifts as required by project demands.

General Qualifications
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a 6G Welder.
• Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, power, or industrial projects preferred.
• Ability to work independently under varying site conditions.
• Physically fit and medically cleared for field and site work.

Required Certifications
• Valid 6G Welding Certificate (CSWIP / AWS / ASME / Equivalent).
• Trade Certificate / ITI / Vocational Training in Welding.
• Mandatory: Third-party weld test approval at site before deployment.

Technical Skills
• Expertise in GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (ARC) welding processes.
• Knowledge of electrodes (E6010, E7018, ER70S 2, etc.).
• Understanding of weld defects, causes, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with preheat, inter-pass temperature control, and PWHT basics.

Compensation & Benefits
1. Gross Salary (Basic + Food Allowance)
• Welder: Approx. AED 2,500 per month

• Cooking facilities available at accommodation.

• Company transport between accommodation and workplace.

• As per company policy.
6. Annual Leave
• 30 calendar days per year.

Overtime
• As per UAE labour norms:
o Normal days: 1.2 × basic salary
o Weekends: 1.5 × basic salary
• Typical working pattern: 10–11 hours daily, including 2–3 hours OT.

Contract & Employment Terms
• Working Days: 6 days per week
• Working Hours: 8 hours/day (excluding 1-hour break)
• Probation / skill validation as per company policy.
• On an average the workers work 10-11 hours a day so they get additional 2-3 hours OT.
