1. HVAC System Design & Engineering
• Design industrial HVAC systems for process plants, control rooms, and hazardous areas (ATEX/IECEx zones)
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and RFQs for HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, exhaust systems).
• Review P&IDs, duct layouts, and HVAC control schematics (BMS integration).
2. Project Execution & Supervision
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with API, NFPA, ASHRAE, and Shell DEP standards.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for system integration.
3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Develop preventive maintenance (PM) programs for critical HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC performance issues (airflow imbalances, refrigerant leaks, control failures).
• Conduct energy audits and recommend efficiency improvements (VFDs, heat recovery).
4. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure HVAC systems meet OSHA, PSM, and HSE regulations for petrochemical plants.
• Verify explosion-proof (Ex-d, Ex-e) compliance in classified zones.
• Review hazardous area classifications (HAC) for ventilation requirements.
5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
• Evaluate supplier proposals and perform technical bid evaluations (TBE).
• Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and inspect delivered equipment.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities for approvals.
