Our client is building an AI-first logistics platform designed to coordinate the movement of goods across Dubai. The platform supports everything from small item deliveries to home relocations, commercial moves, specialist vehicles, water tankers, and recovery trucks.
The business is in its founders-round stage with a live MVP and a defined financial model targeting operational breakeven within six months. The core differentiator is Amo, an agentic AI layer that extracts customer intent, calculates pricing, selects the correct vehicle and helper configuration, allocates slots, and orchestrates dispatch in real time.
Our client is not looking for a chatbot developer. They are building a structured AI orchestration system integrated into real-world logistics operations.
Role Summary
Our client needs a hands-on Agentic AI Systems Engineer who can design, build, and manage the AI orchestration layer that connects conversational input to deterministic pricing, vehicle selection, and dispatch systems.
You will architect and implement the intelligence layer that powers booking-to-dispatch workflows and work directly with the founders and operations team to keep a live city-scale fleet running reliably.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement AI orchestration logic that connects language models to internal systems
• Build structured multi-step workflows with tool calling and robust state management
• Integrate pricing engines, vehicle-eligibility rules, and dispatch allocation systems
• Implement WhatsApp Business API and other messaging integrations
• Develop logging and observability systems to track and explain AI decisions
• Create fallback and override mechanisms to protect operational reliability in live fleets
• Continuously optimize orchestration logic based on real job performance data
Must Have Experience & Skills:
• Proven experience building and deploying AI systems in real production environments (not prototypes or demos)
• Strong backend engineering capability in Python, including API design, state management, and workflow orchestration
• Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph, including structured tool calling and multi-step execution flows
• Clear understanding of deterministic logic versus probabilistic AI reasoning, with the ability to design validation layers and operational guardrails
• Deep understanding of the logistics flow:
– Capturing customer intent from natural language
– Triggering the pricing engine to generate a quote
– Handling payment and sending move confirmation via OTP
– Floating the job to matching drivers based on vehicle type, items, location, calendar, and cost
– Guiding the driver step-by-step with alerts to admin, customer, and driver
– Collecting feedback with sentiment analysis
– Building a dedicated agentic system for B2B customers to autonomously manage recurring logistics operations
Required Profile:
• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally in Python
• Experience building AI-driven systems in production
• Hands-on experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent-orchestration tools
• Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architecture
• Clear ability to separate deterministic business logic from probabilistic AI reasoning
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-based systems
• Systems-thinking mindset — not just prompt engineering or simple chatbot building
