Job Description :
• Firefighting & Fire Alarm Mechanical Technician with 3–5 years of experience is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of firefighting and fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• The technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance of fire pumps (diesel and electric), jockey pumps, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, landing valves, hose reels, deluge systems, and foam systems, ensuring proper pressure and operational readiness at all times.
• He conducts routine testing of fire alarm panels, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, and associated wiring, identifies faults, and replaces defective components.
• The role includes assisting in installation and commissioning activities, performing system flushing and pressure testing, maintaining maintenance logs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, civil defense regulations, and company HSE policies.
• The technician must be capable of reading mechanical and electrical drawings, responding to emergency breakdowns, and ensuring all systems remain fully operational and ready for emergency situations.
