Specialist Physician – Pediatrics Emergency
Location: Abu Dhabi / Al Ain Region, UAE

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physician – Pediatrics Emergency to provide expert care in a fast-paced pediatric emergency department. The role involves managing acute, complex, and life-threatening conditions in neonates, infants, and children, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Core Clinical Responsibilities
• Assess, stabilize, and manage pediatric emergencies including:
Respiratory distress, asthma exacerbations, and pneumonia
Sepsis and septic shock
Trauma, fractures, and polytrauma
Status epilepticus and acute neurologic events
Cardiac emergencies in children
Severe dehydration and metabolic crises
• Perform advanced emergency procedures such as:
Endotracheal intubation
Central and intraosseous line insertion
Procedural sedation
Chest tube insertion (if credentialed)
• Lead resuscitation and emergency interventions following PALS and international protocols
• Supervise junior physicians, residents, and nursing staff
• Collaborate with PICU, NICU, and pediatric subspecialty teams
• Participate in clinical audits, morbidity & mortality reviews, and quality improvement programs
• Ensure compliance with DOH and international patient safety standards
Qualifications & Requirements
• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Board Certification / Fellowship in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• DOH License or DOH Exam Passer (Abu Dhabi)
• Dataflow Completed
• Minimum 3–5 years post-specialty experience in pediatric emergency care
• Valid PALS / ACLS certification
• Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and team collaboration skills
