Chief Accountant

About the Role:
An organization in the UAE is looking to hire an experienced Chief Accountant with a strong background in the manufacturing sector. This senior finance role is designed for a results-driven professional who can lead accounting operations, strengthen financial processes, and contribute to overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring technical accounting expertise along with strategic financial insight to support business growth and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage cash flow planning, monitoring, and financial forecasting activities
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and manage MIS reports along with detailed financial analysis for management review
• Drive budgeting processes and support financial planning initiatives
• Supervise vendor and customer account management while maintaining accurate reconciliations
• Establish and enhance internal controls to ensure financial integrity and compliance
• Manage VAT, taxation, and statutory compliance in accordance with UAE/GCC regulations
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles
• Oversee costing functions including standard costing and variance analysis to improve cost efficiency
Key Requirements:
• Proven professional experience within the manufacturing industry is essential
• Strong academic and professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent preferred
• Mandatory experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to optimize financial workflows and improve operational processes
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with leadership capability
