Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate all QC inspection activities related to mechanical works, welding, and coating.
• Ensure compliance with approved ITPs (Inspection Test Plans) and project quality procedures.
• Review and verify WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications.
• Monitor welding activities to ensure adherence to applicable standards (e.g., ASME, AWS).
• Oversee coating and painting inspections, including surface preparation, DFT, and environmental conditions.
• Conduct inspections such as fit-up, visual welding inspection, and coating checks.
• Coordinate with third-party inspectors and client representatives for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all QC activities.
• Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure calibration of inspection tools and equipment.
• Provide guidance and support to QC inspectors and site teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in QC, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil & gas / construction / industrial projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding standards (ASME, AWS) and coating standards (SSPC, NACE).
