Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
Certifications (Preferred):
Professional Engineer (PE) License
ASHRAE Certification (e.g., HVAC Design, Energy Modeling)
ATEX/IECEx Competency (for hazardous areas)
Experience:
10+ years in HVAC engineering, with petrochemical, refinery, or offshore experience.
Hands-on expertise in:
Chilled water systems, DX units, pressurization systems.
BMS (Building Management Systems) & PLC controls.
Fire/smoke dampers, gas detection integration.
Technical Knowledge:
• Proficient in:
HVAC design software (Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, AutoCAD).
International codes:
ASHRAE 15/34 (Refrigeration Safety)
NFPA 90A/91 (HVAC Fire Safety)
API 500/505 (Hazardous Area Classification)
