Nair Systems is currently looking Linux Administrator for our Qatar operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 4 – 7+ years of experience as a Linux Administrator in a critical production environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible (playbooks, roles, automation workflows).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and/or Python.
• Strong knowledge of Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux, or SUSE Linux.
• Experience with system administration tasks including networking, storage, and process management.
• Knowledge of package management tools (YUM, DNF, APT).
• Understanding of systemd, cron, and logging systems.
• Familiarity with security concepts (firewalld, SELinux, iptables).
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Oracle Linux , RHEL, SUSE aLinux, etc.).
• Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for automation and configuration management.
• Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting and/or Python.
• Manage patching, upgrades, and system hardening.
• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
• Manage services such as Apache/Nginx, SSH, SFTP, Postfix, DNS, NFS, etc.
• Monitor system logs and proactively resolve issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Security teams.
• Support backup and disaster recovery activities.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

Certifications (Preferred but Highly Recommended)
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
Candidates with these certifications will be given strong preference, especially those with demonstrated hands-on experience in automation and enterprise Linux environments.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Soft Skills
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
