Job Summary
Field-based engineering role focused on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of alkaline electrolyser systems supplied by Teledyne and integrated within Hydrogen Systems projects. The position supports reliable hydrogen production across client sites by ensuring optimal system performance and rapid issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
Lead on-site installation and commissioning of Teledyne alkaline electrolyser units and associated balance of plant (BOP) systems
Perform system checks, performance validation, and startup procedures
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance on electrolysers and BOP equipment, including pumps, filters, rectifiers, and gas purification systems
Reduce downtime through structured maintenance planning and execution
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system faults across electrolyser systems
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Technical Support & Client Interface
Act as the on-site technical representative for Hydrogen Systems
Provide operator training and technical guidance to clients during operation and maintenance phases
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts tracking within ERP systems
Support engineering feedback loops for system improvements
Safety & Compliance
Follow strict safety procedures when working with high-voltage systems, high-pressure hydrogen, and KOH electrolyte
Ensure full compliance with project and regulatory HSE requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Experience
3–10 years of experience in maintenance, commissioning, or field service of industrial electro-mechanical systems
Technical Knowledge
Experience with PLC systems, rectifiers, and hydrogen or high-pressure gas systems is strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
Core Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities
Hands-on engineering mindset with field adaptability
Effective communication skills for client-facing environments
Working Conditions & Requirements
High travel requirements across project sites
Work in industrial and outdoor environments, including elevated or confined spaces
Exposure to hazardous systems, including hydrogen gas and high-voltage equipment
Physically active, hands-on role requiring the use of tools and diagnostic equipment
