Job Summary
The Panel Bending Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating automated panel bending machines to fabricate stainless steel components used in commercial kitchen equipment. The role ensures high precision, consistent quality, and adherence to production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate panel bending machines (e.g., Salvagnini, Trumpf) for sheet metal components.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Load and position sheet metal parts accurately on the machine.
Adjust machine parameters such as bending sequence, angles, and tooling.
Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and dimensional accuracy.
Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
Troubleshoot minor machine issues and coordinate with maintenance for major problems.
Ensure proper handling of stainless steel to avoid scratches and defects.
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the machine.
Follow safety guidelines and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of experience operating panel bending machines or CNC press brakes.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in stainless steel products.
