Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Family Therapist for their client in UAE which is a large addiction rehabilitation hospital and residential treatment facility providing comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and residential services for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are looking for experienced Family Therapists who hold a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Marriage & Family or in Counseling, with significant hands-on experience working with families of patients undergoing addiction treatment. Candidates must have proven expertise managing complex family dynamics, codependency, enabling behaviors, and relapse-related family challenges within structured inpatient and residential addiction treatment settings.

The Family Therapist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive psychosocial and family assessments to evaluate family systems, relational dynamics, and the impact of addiction on family functioning. Develop and implement individualized, family-centered treatment plans aligned with evidence-based addiction treatment models and recovery frameworks.Deliver structured family therapy interventions utilizing evidence-based modalities including Family Systems Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) principles, and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. Facilitate family counseling sessions focused on conflict resolution, communication repair, boundary setting, rebuilding trust, and improving family functioning throughout the recovery process.Collaborate closely with addiction psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, counselors, physicians, and case managers to ensure integrated treatment planning and continuity of care. Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, clinical case conferences, and treatment planning discussions to ensure family systems are appropriately incorporated into patient recovery plans.

Lead psychoeducation sessions for families to improve understanding of addiction as a chronic disease, relapse prevention principles, coping strategies, and long-term recovery support mechanisms. Guide families in managing expectations, reducing enabling behaviors, and building healthy support systems to sustain recovery following discharge. Support discharge planning and aftercare pathways by preparing families to provide a structured and supportive home environment. Conduct follow-up family interventions and support sessions as part of relapse prevention and continuity of care programs.Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, prepare detailed assessment and progress reports, and ensure full compliance with hospital policies, ethical practice standards, and UAE healthcare regulatory requirements. Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development activities within the organization.

Salary : Aed 45,000 per month tax free plus family (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative.The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
