Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Consultant Abdominal Transplant & Hepatobiliary Surgeon for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a leading tertiary care hospital with an advanced transplant and hepatobiliary surgery program.
We are looking for Tier 1 Board Certified, Fellowship trained surgeons with Western qualifications such as ABMS (USA), CCT/CCST (UK), RCPSC (Canada), or equivalent credentials recognized by DOH, with subspecialty Fellowship training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery and Hepatobiliary Surgery with a focus on liver transplantation.

The Consultant will be responsible for performing complex liver transplant procedures including living donor and deceased donor liver transplantation, major hepatobiliary resections, and advanced pancreaticobiliary surgeries. Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluations, risk stratification, transplant candidacy assessments, and multidisciplinary treatment planning for patients with end-stage liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma, and complex hepatobiliary conditions.
Provide perioperative and postoperative management of transplant patients, ensuring optimal graft function, complication management, and long-term patient outcomes. Work closely with hepatologists, intensivists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, transplant coordinators, and multidisciplinary transplant teams to deliver integrated patient care.
Lead and contribute to the development of transplant protocols, clinical pathways, and quality assurance programs aligned with international best practices. Participate in transplant selection committees, morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, fellows, and clinical staff while contributing to academic teaching, research, and continuous medical education programs. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Department of Health regulations and hospital policies.
Ensure high standards of patient safety, ethical practice, and clinical governance within the transplant program and contribute to the hospital’s positioning as a regional center of excellence in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.

Salary : Aed 120,000 per month plus incentives and family benefits (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative. The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews)
