Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Consultant Gastroenterologist for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a leading multispecialty hospital with a well-established gastroenterology department providing comprehensive diagnostic and medical management services for gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions.

We are looking for Tier 1 Board Certified Gastroenterologists with Western qualifications such as ABMS (USA), CCT/CCST (UK), RCPSC (Canada), or equivalent credentials recognized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, with a minimum of 10 to 12 years of post-specialty experience in high-volume hospital settings.

The Consultant Gastroenterologist will be responsible for the diagnosis and medical management of a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders including GERD, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal infections.
Perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, with a focus on screening, surveillance, and early detection of gastrointestinal conditions.
Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care, including consultations, treatment planning, and long-term follow-up of chronic GI conditions.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, dietitians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and patient-centered care.
Participate in screening programs such as colorectal cancer screening and preventive health initiatives within the gastroenterology service line.
Ensure adherence to clinical governance standards, infection control protocols, and Department of Health regulations.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation processes to maintain high standards of care.
Contribute to patient education, counseling, and awareness regarding gastrointestinal health, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention.
Supervise and mentor junior physicians and endoscopy staff while participating in teaching and continuous medical education activities.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and clinical excellence.

Salary : Aed 80,000 per month plus family benefits (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative. The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
