The HSE Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. The role ensures compliance with all applicable health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards.
Conduct workplace risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Organize regular safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
Deliver HSE induction training and ongoing safety awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Monitor environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
Prepare and maintain HSE documentation, reports, permits, and records.
Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and crisis management activities.
Advise management on HSE performance, compliance issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Manage contractor HSE compliance and monitor safe work practices.
Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and behavioral safety initiatives.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and external auditors on HSE matters.
Monitor HSE performance indicators and prepare periodic management reports.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
