Accounting / Bookkeeping Officer
Job Location : Kuwait
Key Responsibilities :
• Record and maintain accurate accounting entries, journals, and supporting documentation.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, payments, and employee reimbursements.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management reporting schedules.
• Maintain organized accounting records and audit-ready documentation.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required financial information and documentation.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes and operational efficiency.
Objectives & KPIs :
• Accuracy of financial records maintained at ≥99%.
• Completion of bank reconciliations within agreed timelines.
• Timely processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Zero material bookkeeping errors identified during audits.
• Timely completion of month-end closing activities.
• Proper maintenance of financial records and supporting documentation.
• Contribution to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Education :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Actively pursuing ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification
Experience :
• Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance.
• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
• Experience within fintech, banking, financial services, or professional services is an advantage.
