Psychology Teacher

Job Location : Abu Dhabi, UAE

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a closely related field (e.g., Educational Psychology) from an accredited university.
• Master’s Degree in Psychology or Education is highly preferred.
• Valid, professional teaching license/certification in Secondary Education (with a Psychology endorsement where applicable) from a recognized US state or equivalent jurisdiction.
• Relevant academic transcripts and degree certificates must be attested as per UAE Ministry of Education requirements upon employment.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience in Psychology at the high school level (Grades 9-12).
• Demonstrated experience teaching the American curriculum and adhering to US standards for Psychology.
• Experience with the Advanced Placement (AP) Psychology curriculum and a proven track record of student success in AP exams is a significant advantage.
• Previous experience in an international school setting, particularly in the UAE or Middle East, is highly desirable.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in utilizing educational technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), interactive whiteboards, and digital assessment tools, to enhance student learning.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret student data, monitor progress, and inform differentiated instruction.
• Expertise in designing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with American curriculum standards.
• Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student population, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with special educational needs.
• Excellent classroom management skills that foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Commitment to collaborative planning and professional development within a team-oriented academic department.
• Adaptability, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
