We are seeking a skilled and reliable Data Center Engineer to manage, maintain, and support data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with servers, networking, structured cabling, and hardware maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on data center infrastructure.
• Monitor server, network, power, and environmental systems to ensure high availability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Install and manage structured cabling, rack mounting, and equipment labeling.
• Support data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Maintain documentation for installations, maintenance activities, and asset inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors and customers for equipment installation and support.
• Ensure compliance with data center safety, security, and operational standards.
• Provide on-site technical support and participate in 24/7 on-call support when required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with structured cabling, UPS systems, cooling systems, and power management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid Qatar Driving License.
