Mechanical Fitter
Job Location : Kuwait
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities as per company procedures
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and provide effective solutions
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and assembly works
• Conduct equipment inspection and ensure proper functioning of machinery
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents
• Assist in overhauling and servicing of pumps, valves, motors, and other mechanical equipment
• Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety procedures during maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance personnel to complete assigned tasks
• Follow company HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, and safety standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Diploma / ITI / Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the Oil & Gas industry
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and industrial equipment
• Experience in fitting, fabrication, alignment, and equipment servicing
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment is preferred
• Good understanding of HSE procedures and safe work practices
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Physically fit to work in field and industrial environments
Preferred:
• Experience with KOC / Oil & Gas maintenance projects
• Knowledge of PTW systems and HSE standards
• Experience working in rig sites or heavy industrial environments
