Job Description
A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist to join its diagnostic imaging department. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in breast imaging, cancer screening, diagnostic interpretation, and image-guided breast interventions, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and interpret screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI.
Diagnose and evaluate benign and malignant breast conditions using advanced imaging techniques.
Perform image-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and localization procedures.
Provide expert radiological assessments for breast cancer screening and early detection.
Collaborate with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and treatment planning.
Ensure accurate interpretation and timely reporting of breast imaging examinations.
Develop and implement breast imaging protocols in accordance with international standards.
Maintain patient safety, quality assurance, and radiation protection standards.
Guide and supervise junior radiologists, radiographers, and other clinical staff.
Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiology.
Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Breast Imaging is preferred.
Extensive experience in breast imaging and interventional breast procedures.
Eligibility for a DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant Radiologist license, in accordance with UAE PQR requirements.
Strong knowledge of breast cancer screening protocols, BI-RADS classification, and advanced imaging techniques.
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
