Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Oncology & Hematology physician to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in cancer diagnosis and treatment, hematological disorders, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and comprehensive oncology care. The role requires excellent clinical judgment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage solid tumors, hematological malignancies, and benign blood disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments, diagnostic investigations, and evidence-based guidelines.
Prescribe and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and other systemic anticancer treatments.
Manage leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, anemia, and coagulation disorders.
Interpret bone marrow studies, hematological investigations, biopsies, and advanced diagnostic imaging.
Monitor treatment responses and manage chemotherapy-related complications and adverse effects.
Provide comprehensive management of oncological emergencies and complex hematological conditions.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and coordinate treatment with surgical and radiation oncology teams.
Provide cancer screening, preventive oncology guidance, and long-term follow-up care.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, prognosis, and supportive care.
Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, oncology treatment protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, followed by appropriate specialization or fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology.
Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification in the relevant specialties.
American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable.
Minimum 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferred.
Strong expertise in systemic anticancer therapies, hematological malignancies, benign hematology, and complex cancer management.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Eligible for the appropriate DOH Consultant classification/license and relevant Oncology and Hematology clinical privileges in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
PQR Tier 1 and Tier 2 qualified professionals preferred.
Internationally trained and board-certified Oncology and Hematology Consultants are encouraged to apply.
Experience in leading cancer centers, hematology departments, tertiary-care hospitals, or internationally accredited healthcare facilities.
Advanced expertise in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and complex hematological disease management is highly desirable.
Previous DOH, DHA, or MOHAP licensing experience is an advantage.
GCC experience is an added advantage.
