In 2017, AFG College with the University of Aberdeen opened its doors offering Aberdeen University undergraduate degree programmes to students living and working in the State of Qatar. AFG College in partnership with the University of Aberdeen is the first UK University to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Business and cognate areas. In October 2018 the College added two postgraduate programmes to its portfolio, the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in International Business Management (MSc). Position purpose:

The post holder will lead, plan and organise student social events, with responsibility for running a range of events, ensuring that our students are fully aware and engaged and the theme / message of the event is marketed properly.

The post holder will also be supporting both internal and external student, staff and stakeholder events, working closely with our Marketing, Public Relations leads and our University partners on institutional conferences, seminars and exhibitions, as well as celebratory events and corporate hospitality.

The post holder will directly manage our student events activity, from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The role is primarily hands-on and will often involve working as part of a wider team.
