Senior Accountant
Job Location : United Arab Emirates
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing the annual budget in collaboration with the Group Finance Manager and department leaders
• Gathering and analyzing financial data from multiple departments to produce accurate monthly profit and loss projections and forecasts
• Developing and maintaining financial models, analytical reports, and management dashboards
• Implementing and monitoring accounting policies, procedures, and internal financial controls
• Tracking and forecasting cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations
• Preparing treasury reports and arranging fund transfers when necessary
• Reviewing and processing monthly payroll through the WPS system while coordinating with the HR department
• Ensuring accuracy and consistency of financial data within the HRMS system
• Coordinating with external auditors and regulatory authorities, including the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
• Preparing and finalizing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards and UAE financial regulations
Mandatory requirements for this role include:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Senior Accountant or equivalent role in the UAE
• A recognized professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, CIA, or CFA
• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Solid expertise in accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial management
• Experience with cash flow planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Thorough understanding of IFRS standards and UAE regulatory requirements
