Junior Accountant
Job Location : Dubai, UAE
Duties & Responsibilities :
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper bookkeeping.
• Record and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor company bank accounts.
• Track and reconcile purchases, sales, and other financial transactions.
• Assist in monitoring costs, margins, and financial performance.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Handle petty cash, expense tracking, and reimbursements.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
• Support VAT filings and Corporate Tax compliance as per UAE regulations.
• Assist in audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal financial controls.
Requirements & Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• General understanding of financial operations in trading or commercial environments (transaction flow, cost tracking, and reporting).
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations; Corporate Tax knowledge is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
