Job Summary
The Laser Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and managing CNC laser cutting programs for stainless steel and sheet metal components used in commercial kitchen equipment. The role ensures precision, efficiency, and minimal material waste while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop CNC laser cutting programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Bystronic, Trumpf).
Interpret technical drawings and convert them into efficient cutting programs.
Optimize nesting to reduce material waste and improve productivity.
Set up and support laser cutting machines (fiber/CO₂) for production.
Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.
Perform machine trials and adjust programs for quality improvement.
Troubleshoot programming and machine-related issues.
Maintain proper documentation of programs and revisions.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Monitor material usage and suggest cost-saving improvements.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in CNC laser programming, preferably in sheet metal or kitchen equipment manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Experience with nesting software is highly preferred.
Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication processes.
