Job Summary
The Production Supervisor – Refrigeration is responsible for overseeing the assembly, testing, and production of commercial refrigeration equipment such as chillers, freezers, and cold storage units. The role ensures efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery while managing a team of technicians and workers.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production activities related to refrigeration units (e.g., upright chillers, undercounter refrigerators, cold rooms).
Plan and allocate tasks to technicians, welders, and assembly workers.
Monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and delivery targets.
Ensure proper installation of refrigeration components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, and piping systems.
Oversee gas charging, leak testing, and performance testing of units.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and company specifications.
Troubleshoot production and technical issues related to refrigeration systems.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and QA/QC teams.
Maintain production reports, daily logs, and performance records.
Enforce workplace safety practices and proper handling of refrigerants.
Train and guide workers to improve productivity and skills.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
4–8 years of experience in refrigeration production or HVAC manufacturing.
Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems and components.
Understanding of refrigerants (e.g., R134a, R404A, R290) and handling procedures.
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of brazing, piping, and insulation processes.
