Geologist
Job Location : Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, prepare, and analyze soil, rock, and water samples for geotechnical properties.
• Perform laboratory tests including but not limited to: Atterberg limits Grain size analysis (sieve and hydrometer)
• Moisture content Specific gravity Compaction tests (Standard/Modified Proctor)
• Shear strength (direct shear, triaxial)
• Consolidation tests Unconfined compression tests Interpret test data and prepare accurate laboratory test reports.
• Maintain proper documentation and laboratory logs in accordance with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is operating in accordance with industry standards.
• Assist in field investigations as required (e.g., borehole logging, sampling).
• Work closely with geotechnical engineers and project managers to support project needs.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations within the laboratory.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related Earth Science field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a geotechnical laboratory environment preferred (entry-level candidates may be considered).
