Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible of welding inspection & follow up fit up and installation of 2 boilers units to ensure proper applicable welding process, welding
consumable electrodes met project specification, fabrication ASME Codes and used approved procedures. Ensure correct pre heat ing, post
weld heat treatment Approved procedures used. Checking steel structure foundation orientation and correct steel members installation.
Assure correct welding maps as per last revised isometric drawing. Perform welding inspection as per approved WPS and ASME B31.1 for
power boilers. Review and check daily welding inspection report. Witness Procedure and welders qualification as per ASME IX. Review and
interpret the radiographic films as per ASME B31.1 acceptance criteria and control welding repair status. Witness magnetic particles
inspection to the baffle wall and the buck stay steam boilers. Witness NDT inspection on fabricated and modified steel structure members and
piping supports. Ensure proper calibration and verify temperature of the backing ovens, and portable heaters of preheated consumable
electrodes used during welding. Draw free hand as built isometric hand drafting to small bore connected to the steam drum & headers, large
bore & the spray water piping, marking welding map on the new as built isometric drawings. Witness steam boilers hydro test for “unit I and II”,
and steam pressure parts together with ASME Authorized Inspector as per ASME B31.1 pressure parts limitations. The steam boilers were
under (300 bars).
