JOB PURPOSE
Lead MENA AM operation team. Provide support and guidance on the day-to-day activities ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal rules and operating procedures. Ensure client satisfaction by providing solutions, quick execution and accurate reporting. Improve operational productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures to ensure clear communication of routine activities and maintain consistency in processing in line with requirements. Properly document company’s policies, regulatory decisions, and market practices by constantly staying up to date with aforementioned.
• Act as last reviewer / level 2 approval/releaser to ensure transactions are true and accurate with zero omission or mistake.
• Identify automation requirements to increase efficiency and reduce risk associated with manual processing.
• Review and approve financial statements and valuation reports.
• Ensure accurate reporting to regulators, clients and management. Timely dispatch of reports within deadlines.
• Own the relationship and communication with system providers, external brokers, custodians and clearing agents in order to resolve issues in timely manner and ensure client satisfaction. Organize regular calls to discuss issues/changes. Drive positive change.
• Oversee daily reconciliation of cash and securities. Immediate escalation to line manager any open items (reconciliation, failed trades, mismatches in clients’ records, etc.). Ensure full compliance with CMA executive by-laws specifically Book 7 and book 13.
• Regular review and validation of activities on APX, rules manager, WOLC and other electronic tools used by the department to identify any unauthorized transaction and safe guard clients’ assets and company’s good standing. Highlight and escalate to line manager.
• Lead, mentor and develop MENA operations team. This includes objectives setting, on-going coaching, one-to-one performance reviews and identification of learning and development priorities in line with company values and ongoing technical and operational needs.
