Detailed Profile

My entire professional career of 28 years + has been in the environment of commercial management of projects. Currently, I am working with Building Technology Division of Siemens LLC in UAE, Dubai, responsible for Controlling & Commercial activities of a Business Unit namely "Solutions and Services Portfolio (SSP)". Business volume of SSP is about USD 70M annually. I have been in this role for 7.5 years since Sep'2010.

1. I have a shared P&L responsibility for SSP. My main KPIs are New Orders, Revenue, Gross Profit, Opex, EBIT, Cash Flow in accordance with budget and forecast. I am responsible for making and achievement of budgets + forecast numbers, initiate and implement strategies and business plans.

2. I am quite familiar with the commercial project management and contracting business, I know the potential inherent risks in this business, how to discover such risks though financial statements, when to flag risks in the books and most importantly, how to transfer such risks. Regular reviews of Balance Sheet and other financial statements and initiate corrective actions if needed.

3. I am expert in costing, cost monitoring and controls, cash flow management, claims management & contract management.My understanding about contracts is also quite good which helps in claims management & contract negotiations.

4. I am responsible for implementing efficient business processes and modifying existing processes if needed to improve the response time without affecting quality of services.

5. I have an exposure to IFRS and accounting. I have been working on SAP for about 12 years and quite conversant with MS office.

6. I have been working with Siemens UAE for more than 7 years. This has given me an opportunity to work with employees of various nationalities. For instance, my team consists of German, Swiss, Indians, Pakistanis, Malaysian & Pilipino. I am very much comfortable in multi-national & multi-linguistic culture. I am responsible for a team consisting of 14 members.
