CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

After completion of my medical graduation in India, I competed for and

achieved a 3 year postgraduate training in Obs and Gynae. I then arrived in the UK

and trained for a further 3 years in Obs & Gynae after which I achieved fellowship in

the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I found an opportunity in

Vocational training which has impressed me in view of the holistic approach and

continuity of care involved in General Practice. I completed my VTS training in 2007

and since then I have been working in inner city practices in Birmingham. I have

been providing family planning services including insertion of implants and IUCDS.

CAREER PLANS

Immediate :

Using the experience I gained so far, I plan to take up a GP partnership in the Birmingham area after having an initial exposure to the local community which needs salaried posts.

Long term ;

Considering my prior Obstetric and Gynaecology experience, I would be delighted to take up part time GPwSI in Gynaecology in the future if an opportunity arises.
