Detailed Profile

1. Review, analyze and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, bills of quantity and specifications to facilitate or undertake detailed take-offs in the format prescribed by the project method of measurement; for use with interim or final payment applications, variations, claims or subcontractor/supplier inquiries final payment applications, variations, claims or subcontractor/supplier inquiries or payments.
2. Liaise with the project engineering department to ensure all measurements are produced from most recent drawing revisions and maintain marked up drawings of project monthly progress measurements in a register.
3. Visit sites and undertake any physical site measurements as may be required to secure full and detailed measurement records which may include making photographic records as directed.
4. Liaise on a day-to-day basis with the Client’s commercial staff to ensure commercial requirements and processes are being met. Maintain tracking schedules for variations, day works, payments, final measure submissions, additional works or claims as required by Line Manager and raise commercial issues if any.
5. Prepare and submit interim/monthly payment applications to consultants/clients and expedite payment certificates; variation orders (cost proposals) with the clients’ consultants, subcontractor supplier commercial bid analysis for approval as and when required.
6. Prepare monthly subcontract cost liability schedule and submit to accounts within the stipulated timeframe and certify payment to subcontractors on time and under the terms of the agreement.
7. Coordinate with operations staff, cost clerks, timekeepers, and storemen, etc. to ensure correct cost coding and allocations are implemented and maintained and undertake physical stock and inventory checks or audits on-site as may be required for payment applications or internal purposes.
8. Provide data required by senior commercial staff for preparation of project cost/value reports and forecasts and prepare and maintain detailed under measure / over measure records for use in monthly internal reports or end forecasts.
9. Prepare resource allowable for the project management team, material wastage reports to the project management and commercial tracking schedules identified by senior commercial staff.
10. Research and provide necessary data to support claim submissions or defense of claims against the Company, as may be requested by senior commercial staff.
11. Implementation and utilization of cost control report as an early warning control tool and follow up all reported concerns and overruns with the accountable parties to achieve an optimum result.
12. Coordinate with Engineering Department, Finance and Accounting Department and other projects Section Head on all matters about the cost to ensure smooth delivery of information required by the Department.
13. Prepare Bar Charts and/or any other diagram, which may be required to represent the planned or actual progress of the project, subproject or contract
variation.
