Duties and Responsibilities:
• Report to and assist Site HSE Manager in the management of Health and Safety.
• Responsible for the daily routine inspections and monitoring of compliance of the workforce with the safety rules and regulations on the project.
• Assist the site HSE Supervisor in assessing incident trends, serious safety violations and review of overall safety performance.
• Coordinate for safety, health and environment issues with the clients’ counterparts in the fields that concern or affect day to day operation.

• To conduct site characterizations, risk assessment and remedial investigations.
• To develop HSE reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis as per requirement.

Advise management on the following:
• Ways to prevent injury to personnel, damage to site facility or equipment and fires.
• Ways to improve existing work methods.
• Provisions and use of protective clothing and equipment.
• Potential hazards on site before work starts and on the safety organization and fire precautions required.
• Changes in safety requirements.
• Non-conformance by project personnel to CLIENT’s approved CSSP (Site Safety Plan).
• Carry out site surveys and inspections to see that only safe work methods are in operation, health and safety requirements are being observed. Welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
• Determine the cause of any accidental occurrence and recommend measures to prevent recurrences.
• Assist by training employees at all levels.
• Take part in discussions on injury, damage and loss control.
• Keep up-to-date with recommended safe practices and safety literature. Circulate information applicable to each level of employee.
• Foster within the company an understanding that injury prevention and damage control are an integral part of business and operational efficiency.
• Attend job progress meetings where safety is an item on the agenda. Report on job safety performance.
• Set a personal example on and off-site.
