General inspection responsibility.
• Responsible for quality monitoring for all stages of the project cycle from design review up to the approval of Final MCC to ensure compliance with applicable Mandatory Saudi Aramco Engineering Requirement and project specifications.
• Monitor and inspect ongoing construction activities. This is to ensure that rework and potential non-compliances are avoided.
• Surveillance results whether they are Violations, Pro-active Notifications, or No Findings shall be logged in the QMIS under General Comments.
• Review the quality control documents including the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), prior to the start of any construction or pre-commissioning activity, in accordance with Schedule Q and test results for conformance to project requirements.
• Ensure that the QC Procedures and associated ITPs for Material Receiving, Storage, Traceability, and Preservation are approved prior to the start of material receiving activities.
• Inspect major equipment (e.g., fired and unfired vessels, skid-mounted equipment, pumps, compressors, etc.), and perform random inspections of bulk construction material for compliance with standards, codes, and specifications, and for possible damage during shipping, handling, and installation.
• Check for the availability of the Supplier inspection release, inspection records, and recommendations for storage and preservation at the time of receipt.

Stationary & Rotatory Equipment Inspection
• Preservation Monitoring of Vessel, Tanks, Pumps, Compressor, and Air-cooled Heat Exchangers.
• Installation of the compressor, Fin Fan, and pumps.
• Installation of Static Equipment.
• Pre-Alignment and Final Alignment of Rotating Equipment.
• Internal inspection of Static Equipment.
• Inspection of Atmospheric Storage Tanks Fabrication, Erection, and Testing as per API 650.
• Understanding requirements of internal & external inspection of pressure vessels, drums, heat exchangers, storage tanks, columns, furnaces, boilers, flares, plant piping & refractory
• Reviewing the documents prior to release for hydro/Pneumatic testing and witnessing the tests, hydrostatic and pneumatic leaks testing.
• Knowledge of failure mechanism for corrosion and, erosion, damages, cracks, pits, thinning, or other failures found during plant shut down/equipment downtime.
• Monitoring of Oil flushing, chemical Cleaning, and Mechanical Cleaning of Piping.
• Review the Box Up packages and offer for inspection to the proponent for final closure.

Welding & Piping Inspection

• Review the WPS and PQR as per construction codes ASME Sec.IX, ASME B 31.3, ASME Sec. VIII.
• Monitoring of welding parameters during procedure qualification testing & witnessing welder qualification tests.
• Review the fabrication procedure, erection sequence, quality procedure, inspection method, reading drawing isometric, GAD, P&ID.
• Handling the mechanical (Tensile, Bend, Charpy), hydro testing, welder qualification test, witness hydro test, thermal treatment of material preheating, stress reliving, inter-pass temperature & post heat treatment witness ..
• Inspecting the incoming materials for damages, dimensions, and corrosions and ensuring that Material Test Certificate is available and according to the requirements.
• Managing preliminary welding inspection activities (fit-up, root pass, intermediate, and hot pass, materials traceability, dimensional checking, and orientations of piping components).
• Handling internal inspection of fit-up, welding of the pipeline, and joint check-up of the piping using P&ID and Isometric Drawings.
• Inspection and monitoring of Welding Consumable Control (Receiving, Storage, Handling, Issue & Conditioning).
• Carrying out visual inspection of weld joints after welding and selection of NDT, PWHT, Hardness Ferrite, and PMI testing as per line class.
• Selection and monitoring of NDT activities as per approved procedures and standards.
• Carrying out visual inspection of piping to see any rust/corrosion and also the condition of pipe supports.
• Updating & maintaining the calibrations status for all instruments.
• Review the Hydrotest package and verify the Pre-Test Punch listing.
• After Hydrotesting verification of Re-Instatement and layup.
• Raising the NCR for the concerned department that’s going against the QAP, approved work procedure, quality & system, international standard, and Aramco Standards.
